Your tasks

  • Participate in setting-up a new instrumental platform. This will include muons and X-Ray detectors, DAQ and appropriate sample environment
  • Develop analysis tools based on the ROOT Data Analysis Framework
  • Actively collaborate technically and scientifically with the Sinergia project co-applicants, as well as supporting them during the measurements campaigns
  • Actively foster the exchange of information between the co-applicants
  • Collaborate with the other international and local partners
  • Publication of results in scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings

Your profile

  • PhD degree in physics, materials science or in a related field
  • Knowledge of X-Ray detector technique and/or DAQ and/or elemental analysis and/or particle or nuclear physics is highly beneficial
  • Experience with large-scale facilities is an asset
  • Self-motivated team player, able to work independently
  • Good command of English is required (spoken and written) as well as very good communication skills
