Your tasks
- Development of concepts for the design and later operation of the TATTOOS target facility including improvements for increasing performance/upgrades
- Test of prototypes e.g. regarding its thermal properties, including the design and operation of test stands
- Handling of activated components and maintenance in the service cell by manipulators and development of safe processes including a risk estimate
- Preparation of technical documentation like operation manuals, technical design report and documents needed by the authorities for operation approval
Your profile
- Long term experience as a development engineer or experimental physicist with a university degree
- Several years of experience in operating and designing of ISOL facilities or similar target stations at powerful beam facilities
- Knowledge of 3D CAD systems for sketching innovative concepts is of advantage or should be acquired
- Open personality who enjoys working in a team, takes responsibility and drives the project forward
- Your strong communication skills make it easy for you to deal with various stakeholders; you have a good command of German or are willing to learn the language
