Bright Night 2025: Energy Research

November 8, 2025, from 15:30 to 17:30

The transition to renewable energy comes with new challenges: How can electricity from the sun and wind be stored? And how can we replace fossil gas?

At the ESI Platform of the Paul Scherrer Institute, you will discover how PSI is developing innovative solutions, such as converting biomass into climate-friendly methane or storing renewable energy.

After a introductory talk, a guided tour through the facility offers insights into cutting-edge research for a sustainable energy system.

Exploring ground-breaking research: the new exhibition “Visiting the researchers” has 13 thematic islands that invite you on a journey through the fascinating research at PSI.
