on organic aerosols sources and data mining

Your tasks

  • PhD thesis at ETH Zurich, Switzerland
  • Perform field campaigns with the extractive electrospray mass spectrometer and the aerosol mass spectrometer
  • Statistical analyses of the data (especially source apportionment) and interpretation in the context of emission sources and atmospheric formation pathways
  • Test and apply new data mining approaches for (organic aerosol) source apportionment
  • Write and contribute to high quality peer-reviewed publications
  • Support the laboratory including campaigns of other students/postdocs

Your profile

  • Master degree in enviromental sciences, chemistry, physics
  • Excellent programming skills and affinity to statistics
  • Experience in analytical techniques
  • Very good English language skills
