Neutron Spectroscopy

Your tasks

You will be co-responsible for the thermal triple axis spectrometer EIGER at SINQ and use it together with the cold triple axis spectrometer TASP and the novel multiplexing spectrometer CAMEA for your research. You support the external user program, and be actively involved in the technical development of the instrument suite at SINQ, with a focus on the development of data reduction and analysis software. You will pursue an independent and ambitious research program preferably in the field of quantum materials.

Your profile

  • You hold a PhD degree in experimental physics or chemistry and you have an excellent scientific record
  • Experience in neutron spectroscopy and good programming skills (preferably Python) are mandatory
  • You have good communication skills
  • You enjoy working in a team-oriented interdisciplinary environment
