We are looking for a self-motivated team player PhD candidate able to work independently between three PSI research groups with interest to experimental work. The candidiate must have a master of science diploma in chemistry, physics, materials science or in a related field. A good background in one of the fields, thin film growth, electrochemistry, resistive memory or device processing is expected. An experience in electrochemical / electrical measurements, surface characterization or clean room is an asset. Very good command of English is required.
The experimental work will be caried at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, within the framework of a synergy project including three research groups at PSI : "Battery Materials and Diagnostics", "The Thin Films and Interfaces" and "Advanced Lithography and Metrology", the PhD degree will be awarded by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich).
