As part of the annual Swiss Innovation Platform "open-i" in Zurich in November, the "Swiss Technology Award" will once again be presented this year in three categories:
Inventors: You have achieved a breakthrough in your research or development work and are on the way to demonstrating the functionality of your idea with a prototype. Your focus is mainly on the area of technology and not yet so much on the business plan.
Start-ups: You have already started the implementation of your idea with an operational structure. Your technology or product is defined. Ideally, prototypes exist. You have thoroughly examined the financing, production and marketing possibilities and can present a solid business plan.
Industry Innovation: You are an established company with an existing and successful product portfolio. Through your R&D activities you are constantly bringing new, convincing solutions to the market, which lead to clear advantages in the area of economic and/or social/ecological sustainability. Through new technological developments, the use of new materials or processes and/or generally improved resource efficiency, you contribute to solving global challenges and open up new markets or conserve resources.
This award is the most prestigious recognition for innovation and technology transfer in Switzerland and promotes the innovation culture of the country. The application deadline is August 9th. Take advantage of this opportunity!

Erfinder: Sie haben bei Ihren Forschungs- oder Entwicklungsarbeiten einen Durchbruch erreicht und sind auf dem Weg, mit einem Prototyp die Funktionsfähigkeit Ihrer Idee zu zeigen. Ihre Priorität liegt schwerpunktmässig im Bereich der Technologie und noch nicht so sehr beim Businessplan
Start-ups: Sie haben die Umsetzung Ihrer Idee bereits mit einer Betriebsstruktur konkret in die Hand genommen. Ihre Technologie bzw. Ihr Produkt ist definiert, Prototypen existieren idealerweise. Sie haben sich eingehend mit den Finanzierungs-, Produktions- und Vermarktungsmöglichkeiten auseinandergesetzt und können einen soliden Businessplan vorweisen.
Industry Innovation: Sie sind eine etablierte Firma mit einem bestehenden und erfolgreichen Produkteportfolio. Durch Ihre F&E-Aktivitäten bringen Sie immer wieder neue, überzeugende Lösungen auf den Markt, welche klare Vorteile im Bereich von ökonomischer und / oder gesellschaftlicher / sozialer / ökologischer Nachhaltigkeit bringen. Durch neue technologische Entwicklungen, den Einsatz von neuen Materialien oder Verfahren und / oder allgemein eine bessere Ressourceneffizienz tragen Sie zur Lösung globaler Herausforderungen bei und erschliessen neue Märkte oder schonen Ressourcen.
Dieser Preis ist die bedeutendste Auszeichnung für Innovation und Technologietransfer in der Schweiz und fördert die Innovationskultur der Schweiz.
