Your tasks
- You will define and execute an ambitious independent research programme on quantum materials
- Your research will clearly take advantage of the complementarity between state-of-the-art techniques in neutron and photon science, prioritising use of the large-scale facilities at PSI and the UK
- You will perform additional support measurements such as bulk magnetic or electric characterisation
- You will perform data curation, advanced data analysis and modelling to support the research and interpretation of the data
- You will publish the results of your research in peer-reviewed journals, and present your findings at conferences and workshops
Your profile
- You hold a PhD degree in experimental physics, chemistry, material sciences or an area clearly related to the main tasks
- Experience in neutron and/or photon science research, inc. data analysis, data curation, publication preparation
- Willingness to work flexible hours and during weekends when conducting experiments at large scale facilities
- You are fluent in English, display good communications skills, and enjoy working in team-oriented interdisciplinary environment
