As part of the PSI-IMPACT large-scale project, the sub-project TATTOOS focuses on the production and online separation of novel radionuclides for research in radiopharmaceutical cancer therapy. Mechanical Engineer

Your tasks

  • Development of systems from concept through to detailed design and practical implementation 
  • Finite element analysis using ANSYS 
  • Selection of appropriate resource-efficient manufacturing processes and product functionalities, taking into account safety-related and ecological aspects 
  • Preparation of technical documentation for the manufacturing and assembly of components and systems

Your profile

  • Completed technical vocational training with further training as a mechanical engineer FH or ETH 
  • Several years of experience in mechanical engineering; knowledge in prototyping and/or special-purpose machinery is an advantage 
  • Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD systems (preferably CATIA V6) as well as simulation tools 
  • You are comfortable dealing with various stakeholders in English and German 
  • With your proactive personality, you take the initiative to drive a project forward and work in a structured manner
  • Experience with isotope targets, ISOL and RIB is a plus
