Bayesian Calibration Methodology for Complex Models

Your tasks

  • Development and demonstration of a Bayesian calibration methodology applicable to complex models such as particle accelerators or particle physics experiments
  • Setting up an advanced data assimilation methodology, its verification and validation
  • Presentation of the scientific results at conferences and publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Supervising BSc & MSc students
  • Supporting teaching activities at ETH

Your profile

  • Masters degree in physics, mathematics or computational science
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Good programming skills in C++ and Python (or Julia)
  • Experience in accelerator modelling and simulations is a benefit
  • Good communication and team work skills
