FemSpin

Both internationally and in Switzerland, female academics are rarely involved in the commercialization of knowledge from research and development (R&D) at universities. Their share in the creation of spin-offs is very low, which means that Switzerland as a country of innovation is losing out on considerable potential.

This joint project of the Federal Institutes of Technology in Zurich and Lausanne, the Paul Scherrer Institute, the University of Zurich and the University of Basel, as well as the Universities of Applied Sciences in Western (HES-SO), Southern (SUPSI) and Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) aims to promote equal opportunities in spin-off activities in STEM, humanities and social sciences by focusing specifically on women.

More information about FEMSPIN can be found in the project summary of Swissuniversities.

During the implementation period of the project (2022-2024), various events will take place, with the kick-off for all interested parties taking place in Olten in May 2022.
