Advanced characterization of all-solid-state battery

Your tasks

  • Fundamental understanding of interface and bulk degradation mechanism
  • Devellopement of operando techniques with main focus on e.g. Tomography, XPS and XAS
  • Electrochemical testing (cyclic voltammetry, galavanostatic cycling, impedance spectroscopy)
  • Publication of results in scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings

Your profile

We are looking for a self-motivated team player able to work independently with interest to experimental work. The candidiate must have a master degree or a diploma in chemistry, physics, materials science or in a related field. A good background in electrochemistry is expected. An experience in bulk or surface characterisation techniques as well as synchrotron facilities is an asset. Very good command of English is required.

The experimental work will be caried at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, within the framework of SNF-sinergia project including Universty of Fribourg, EPFL and Seoul National University, the PhD degree will be awarded by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich).
