Your tasks

  • Responsible for the operation of the smog-chambers at PSI
  • Supporting the operation of the full suite of gas phase and aerosol instruments at PSI smog chambers and at CLOUD-CERN, with a focus on online mass specrometery
  • Responsible for executing and supporting EUROCHAMP / ACTRIS activities at the PSI smogchambers
  • Foster our smog chamber network and our position within ACTRIS
  • Student and postdoc supervision
  • Acquisition of national and international fundings
  • Publication and presentation of scientific outputs
  • Contribution to the development of measurement techniques (focused on mass spectrometry)
  • Contribution to smog chamber and mass spectrometer data management
  • Contribution to the development of smog chamber modelling / parameterizations

Your profile

  • PhD degree in atmospheric science or physical chemistry in addition to >3 years experience in atmospheric science
  • Expertise in smog-chambers and in mass spectrometry
  • Experience in gas phase and aerosol instrumentation
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Excellent command of English
