Radiation Oncologist

Your tasks

  • Consultation, treatment and care of the patients of the CPT including: File study, case evaluation, therapy concepts, preparation and monitoring of treatments, final examinations and reports
  • Follow-up examinations and medical reports
  • Supervision of therapies within the framework of national and international clinical studies
  • Clinical projects as PL or contributor as specified by the CPT management, scientific data analysis
  • Participation in tumor boards (PSI virtual tumor board and/or external)
  • Participation in presentations of the research results of the CPT in the form of publications, reports, lectures at symposia and specialists events

Your profile

This position is addressed to board-certified radiation oncologist with proven clinical experience or to experienced junior MD close to certification. You will have tasks and responsibilities fitting to your level of experience. A good basic understanding of medical physics and experience in therapy planning is expected in order to allow you to actively contribute to the treatment of patients from the start. An excellent level of social maturity and competence are essential in order to be at ease in dealing with patients and in the professional clinical environment. You have also an interest in supporting the development and clinical implementation of advanced technologies in proton therapy. You feel at ease with patients and colleagues in a highly specialized, international and multicultural team. You are looking for collaboration with professionals outside of PSI nationally and internationally. Furthermore, you have a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of German and other languages would be of advantage. Interest in clinical research is essential; a publication record is requested.
