Simulations of splitting off a high intensity beam for radioisotope production for the TATTOOS project

Your tasks

  • Extend models of the beam splitter and the new radioisotope target station
  • Perform realistic simulations of the complete beamline for beam profiles, beam transmission, energy spectra, as well as power deposits
  • Perform measurements during beam development
  • Make a qualitative comparison between measurement and simulation

Your profile

  • Physics student (minimum 4 semesters)
  • Motivated in performing numerical simulations
  • Basic skills in programming
  • Open-minded, communicative person and enjoy working in an international team
  • You have not yet completed your Master’s thesis
