  • Characterizing and testing different catalysts for (hydro)deoxygenation and (hydro)desulfurization under supercritical conditions of biocrude produced from the hydrothermal liquefaction of black liquor
  • Applying state-of-the-art analysis of catalyst (XRD, XRF, N2 adsorption, SEM, TEM) and of liquids (HPLC-HRMS)
  • Assisting in the development of a test rig and operate it for biocrude upgrade tests
  • Publishing in international leading scientific journals
  • Supporting in supervising master students, doctoral students and trainees
  • Supporting teaching at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW)
