Detector Development Photon Science Division

Your tasks

  • Work on the development of the Jungfrau pixel detector (testing of readout ASICs and modules, calibration and optimization of the system)
  • Participation in cutting edge X-Ray experiments with PSI and external scientists from the early planning phase to the data analysis and publication steps
  • Support of the detector system integration at beamlines in collaboration with IT groups

Your profile

The successful candidate should have a PhD degree in physics or electronics or related fields preferably in the field of silicon detector development. Experience in data analysis (with CERN root) and experience in synchrotron radiation instrumentation would be appreciated. Proficiency in C/C++ is also highly welcome. You will work as a teamplayer in a stimulating international environment, giving you excellent opportunities for new initiatives.
