  • Laser ablation (PLD), sputtering, preparation and characterization of thin and ultrathin epitaxial layers and heterostructures, transport measurements, lithography.
  • XRD, RHEED, AFM, plasma mass spectrometry, time resoloved optical spectrometry, SIMS and TOF-SIMS.
  • Materials with highly correlated electronic systems, multiferroics, oxide materials for renewable energy and respective applications, interface physics of oxides with strong electronic correlations, highly mobile electron gases at oxide interfaces, collective quantum phenomena.
  • Superconductivity (conventional and high temperature superconductors) and magnetism. Physics of Josephson elements and magnetic tunneling devices. Order parameter symmetry in high-Tc superconductors. Development of active elements (oxide electric field effect transistors, injection elements) superconducting non-volatile memory and nanotechnology.
