Biography

Muhammad Refatul Haq started working as a postdoctoral researcher from November 2021 in the Advanced Nanomanufacturing (ANAM) group, part of the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Technologies (LNQ) at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI). He received his B.Sc degree (February 2012) in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. He obtained his M.Sc (February 2016) and Ph.D. (February 2020) degrees from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Chung-Ang University (CAU), Seoul, Republic of Korea. Subsequently, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate (November 2020) in Mechanical Engineering Research Institute at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Republic of Korea. During his Ph.D, he developed a roll-type micro/nano patterned vitreous carbon (glassy carbon) mold manufacturing method by the carbonization of Furan precursor. Currently, he is working in a project on microfluidics at PSI. His research interests include design and fabrication of micro/nano structures for surface topography, optical biosensors, microfluidic chips and micro-electro mechanical system.
