Today, the children were able to discover the water cycle with great enthusiasm and curiosity. Together, we explored how rain is formed, from evaporation to cloud formation to precipitation.
As a highlight, we conducted an experiment:
In a glass of water, we simulated a cloud with shaving foam, which slowly filled with ‘water droplets’ until it became too heavy and the ‘rain’ fell down. This vivid experiment caused many astonished faces and made the process visible to the children in a simple way.
The children watched with great enthusiasm as the liquid made its way through the foam cloud. They asked questions, exchanged ideas and were able to actively experience how science works in everyday life.
It was wonderful to see how the children thought along, tried things out and were thus able to understand the natural cycle of water.
