Eleftherios Siskos joined the Technology Assessment Group at the Paul Scherrer Institute, as a PostDoctoral researcher, in September 2019. His contribution extends in the research areas of Multicriteria Decision Aid, Decision Support Systems, robustness analysis, energy policy, and resilience of energy systems. Specifically, Eleftherios is working on the development of a transparent and comprehensive methodological framework for the assessment of the resilience of renewable energy technologies under the prism of the EU and national energy transition. His research agenda specialises on the mathematical modelling of uncertainty and risks, investigating for robust ways to control and manage them, through an interactive decision support procedure.

Eleftherios studied Chemical Engineer in the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)where he received his MSc in 2011. The same year he began his PhD in the Decision Support Systems Laboratory in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA. There he gained experience in modelling and solving real large-scale optimization and decision problems, giving special focus on the simulation and control of risks and uncertainty. Through his course, until the acquisition of the PhD in 2018, he worked in different fields, such as e-government evaluation, energy planning, urban planning and environmental management towards sustainable development, energy and climate policy.

Eleftherios has been involved in several EU projects orientating in both basic and applied research, the full list of which can be viewed on the CV
