Responsibilities at PSI

  • SwissFEL Linac RF systems: coordination of operations and consolidation in cooperation with the technical, beam dynamics and operations groups.
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and upgrades of the SLS-injector LINAC.
  • Responsible for the development and testing of the next generation photocathode C- band RF gun at PSI in the framework of the EU project IFAST.
  • Principal Investigator of the approved CHART proposal for the FCC-ee Injector complex design and for the positron source experiment in SwissFEL.
  • Responsible of the collaboration between PSI, CERN and DESY for the development of an X-band transverse deflecting RF system with variable polarization.
  • New concepts and development of RF accelerating structures and components.
  • Analysis and optimization of the interaction between beam and acceleration structures and components (wakefield and impedance).
