Beamline Status

The high-energy branch (Phoenix I) as well as the low energy branch (PHOENIX II) are open to users.

PHOENIX I Status

Ressource Status Description
Status optics and monochromator OK Monochromatic beam available in the full energy range. Focused to 3 x 3 µm (hxv).
Status sample and environment OK Solid, powder, and liquid samples. Moderate heating (450 C)and cooling (90 K) possible.
Status endstations and detectors OK

4-element and 1 elements energy dispersive silicon drift detector (SDD) available. Total electron yield and transmission mode possible. user supplied in-situ experiments possible.

von Hamos spectrometer OK von Hamos spectrometer for tender X-rays available (2030-3100 eV, 3330-3250 eV)
Status analysis tools IN PROGRESS Most of the tools available
Status operation OK Open to users.
