Dr. Manuel Guizar-Sicairos elected as SPIE Fellow member

SPIE Fellow Manuel Guizar-Sicairos
Guizar-Sicairos receives the SPIE Fellow distinction from 2022 SPIE President, Prof. Dr. Anita Mahadevan-Jansen.

Dr. Manuel Guizar-Sicairos, Senior scientist at the Coherent X-ray Scattering group, was elected as a 2022 SPIE Fellow Member for his contributions to coherent lensless imaging, including ptychography and X-ray nano-tomography. The SPIE, founded in 1955, is an international not-for-profit professional society for optics and photonics technology. Fellows are Members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and imaging. They are honored for their technical achievement and for their service to the general optics community and to SPIE in particular. The distinction was awarded to Manuel at the SPIE’s Optics & Photonics conference in San Diego, California by 2022 SPIE President Prof. Dr. Anita Mahadevan-Jansen.

Manuel was also recently awarded the prestigious 2019 ICO Prize by the International Commission for Optics and was elected as an Optica Fellow in 2021.
