Parameters & Technical Specifications for TASP

TASP occupies the end position of the neutron guide 1RNR14 that has a critical wavelength λmin = 1.7 Å. Some specific features of the instrument are:

  • Optional Collimation of the Beam before the Monochromator
  • W-configuration Possible for all Accessible Scattering Vectors
  • Polarization Capability using HOPG combined with polarising benders
  • Vertically Focusing Monochromator
  • Horizontally Focusing Analyser
  • Neutron Polarimetry using the MuPAD setup
