Our six laboratories form Switzerland’s national center of competence for nuclear energy. Together we:
Maintain key competence with a special focus on the safety of the Swiss nuclear power plants.
Develop the scientific understanding of the safe management and disposal of radioactive wastes.
Contribute to the assessment of current and the development of future nuclear technologies.
Assume an important role in nuclear education in Switzerland.
