Research interests:

  • Developing novel, highly active, nickel-based perovskite catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction
  • Understanding and exploring the mechanism of Fe uptake in nickel-based materials during OER catalysis
  • Modifying the electronic properties of electrodeposited Ni(OH)2 thin films for OER activity using transition metal doping and surface exfoliation strategies

Technical skills:

  • Flame spray synthesis of oxide nanoparticles
  • Rotating disk electrode (RDE) kinetic studies
  • Operando characterisations (XAS, XRD)
  • Material characterisations (XRD, XAS, XPS, SEM-EDX, ICP-OES)
  • Analysis of large datasets using python
