ADDAMS UPGRADE
The former MS beamline at the SLS has become ADvanced DiffrAction for Materials Science in the SLS 2.0: ADDAMS.
Most of the information in the MS-beamline paper, including the source, most of the optics and endstations are still relevant. Clearly the machine powering the U14 undulator has changed according to the SLS 2.0 upgrade, impacting the source characteristics.
The sagittal benders for horizontal focussing in the monochromator have been substituted with an horizontal bendable mirror.
The 1D diffractometer has been upgraded with a new goniometer and an updated version of the Mythen III detector
A 2D diffractometer, based on a simple optical table and a large Pilatus 6M area detector have also been added.
The 3D diffractometer is equipped with a 500k Eiger and a close 1M Eiger detector.
