At the biennial SwissSkills Championships for young professionals, which took place in Bern from 17 to 21 September 2025, four of our former and current electronics apprentices demonstrated their exceptionally strong skills with great success in two different competition categories.

In the individual competition discipline “Electronics”, our youngest participant Dominik Geissberger achieved an excellent and for the future very promising 8th place. Andrin Kästli, who has already begun his engineering studies at the FHNW, even won the Swiss Champion title in this category. With his gold medal he qualified for the WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai, China. Andrin is the third former PSI electronics apprentice in a row and the fourth overall, to represent Switzerland at the WorldSkills competition.
In the younger two-person team discipline "Entrepreneurship/Business Development" our former electronics apprentices Elia Feltrin and Nicolas Stöckli competed against other professional groups and achieved an excellent 6th place with their business idea of an "AI-enabled exam environment" for schools.
This continued success underlines once again the enormous quality of vocational training at PSI. It would be impossible without an extraordinary high motivation of the apprentices but also the passion of their instructors and supervisors. We are very proud on this great success and congratulate cordially!
