Eintausend Module für das CERN
Am CERN bei Genf werden kleinste Teilchen mit höchsten Energien aufeinander geschossen, um die grossen Fragen zum Universum zu klären. Die Detektoren, die die Teilchenkollisionen beobachten, benötigen immer wieder ein Upgrade. Lea Caminada und ihre Forschungsgruppe für Hochenergiephysik am PSI spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle.
Myonen erhalten Förderung des Schweizerischen Nationalfonds
Das PSI erhält einen NCCR: Mit dem Projekt «Muoniverse» wird die Forschung an den Strahllinien für Elementarteilchen namens Myonen weiter ausgebaut – an der weltweit führenden Anlage für Myonenstrahlen.
ERC Consolidator Grant for Neutron Lifetime Experiment at PSI’s source for ultracold neutrons
Our collaborator Prof. Dr. Martin Fertl from the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) and the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence has been awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant, one of the EU's most highly endowed grants, to support the development of the next-generation neutron lifetime experiment.
