PSI User Office

The PSI User Office is a central hub for supporting users across all major user laboratories at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI).

SwissFEL

The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is home to five cutting-edge large-scale user facilities, making it a hub for research in condensed matter physics.: a third generation X-ray synchrotron source (SLS), a X-ray free electron laser facility (SwissFEL), the only continuous spallation neutron source worldwide (SINQ), the worlds most powerful continuous-beam μSR facility (SμS) and a meson factory for fundamental nuclear and elementary particle physics (CHRISP). PSI stands out globally as one of the few places where researchers have access to all three major probes for condensed matter research (photons, neutrons and muons) - all located on a single campus.

For any inquiries before, during, or after your visit to PSI, the User Office staff are available to assist you. They can provide information and support regarding facilities, accommodations, and any other logistical matters related to your research stay at PSI.

At PSI, the Digital User Office (DUO) serves as the primary tool for managing the user operation process. Overall, DUO streamlines the process of conducting research at PSI, offering a centralized platform for managing proposals, experiments, and administrative tasks associated with user operations. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need any help on DUO.
