Mille moduli per il CERN
Al CERN, vicino a Ginevra, le particelle più piccole si scontrano con le energie più elevate per rispondere alle grandi domande sull'universo. I rivelatori che osservano le collisioni di particelle hanno costantemente bisogno di essere aggiornati. Lea Caminada e il suo gruppo di ricerca in fisica delle alte energie del PSI svolgono un ruolo importante in questo senso.
Importante finanziamento per la ricerca sui muoni
Un nuovo polo di ricerca nazionale al PSI. Il progetto «Muoniverse» permetterà di sviluppare ulteriormente la ricerca sulle linee di particelle elementari chiamate muoni, avvalendosi dell’impianto di fasci di muoni più importante al mondo.
ERC Consolidator Grant for Neutron Lifetime Experiment at PSI’s source for ultracold neutrons
Our collaborator Prof. Dr. Martin Fertl from the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) and the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence has been awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant, one of the EU's most highly endowed grants, to support the development of the next-generation neutron lifetime experiment.
