STARS is homed at the Laboratory for Reactor Physics and Thermal-Hydraulics (LRT) of the PSI Center for Nuclear Engineering and Sciences (NES) at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI). PSI along with the two federal institutes of technology (ETHZ and EPFL) and the three other national research laboratories (Eawag, WSL, Empa) constitute the Swiss ETH domain.
