Experimental tables

There are 3 tables available inside the hutch, from which the first two can be used for experiments and the last one for the storage of materials or devices. The first table, as shown in picture 1a, has a standard configuration consisting of a harmonic rejection mirror, a filterbox, slits, ion chambers, sample manipulator and a 5-element SDD detector. Upon request, this setup can also be changed or partially removed to fit other experiments.

The standard manipulator, as shown in figure 1b, consists of several modules including horizontal, vertical and rotational stages. The manipulator can take up to 10kg load. Use picture 1c to make an adaptor plate for your setup! We also have a manipulator up to 100kg with XYZ stages, but since it is a shared ressource among another beamline, users need to contact us at least 1 month in advance of their beamlines if they need it.
