SPECT/CT

The CRS has one of the most modern and efficient small animal SPECT/CT scanner which is currently on the market. Single-photon-emission computed tomography (SPECT) with an anatomic imaging modality by computed tomography (CT) give us the possibility to analyse and display biologically significant events (such as tumor growth, hypoxia, angiogenesis, apoptosis) in combination with the anatomic information from the CT.

Flow cytometer

The CRS is equipped with a modern flow cytometer for the measurement of morphological, biochemical and functional properties of cells in suspension. For example, cell parameters such as size, shape, DNA content, cell surface markers, cell cycle distribution and viability can be analyzed.

LC/ESI-TOF-MS

The sensitivity and resolution of liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LCT Premier Mass Spectrometer, Waters AG) allows the determining of mass of peptides or proteins in different matrices. It is possible for example, to quantify the number of small molecules to an antibody.
