Following the first regular call for proposals, which had a submission deadline in March 2026, the next call for proposals, I-27, is now open, with a submission deadline of 15 October 2026.
The call covers the beamtime period from 1 March 2027 to 31 August 2027. The exact amount of available beamtime may vary between the different beamlines. Please contact the respective beamline team to check the current status and to find out which techniques are currently available.
The following beamlines are open for proposals in this call:
Debye/Super-XAS, ADDAMS, PolLux, ISS, cSAXS, SIM, I-TOMCAT/S-TOMCAT, VUV, XIL-II, Phoenix, X-Treme, PX-beamlines - further beamlines under preparation
- After the submission deadline the proposals are evaluated in terms of safety and technical feasibility. Then they are ranked in terms of scientific criteria by the international SLS Proposal Review Committee (PRC). The result of this rating is the basis for the beamtime assessment made by the SLS.
- The main proposers are informed by email about the result of the ranking and beamtime assessment.
- The annual calendar for the proposal evaluation is as seen below.
Thereafter the next following call for proposals (cycle II-27) is foreseen for spring 2027.
