After the restart of the Swiss Light Source in summer 2025 with a first limited call there will be the first regular call for proposals with a submission deadline on 16 March 2026. This call for proposals spans the beamtime period of the second half of 2026. The exact amount of available beamtime might vary for the different beamlines.
The following beamlines are open for proposals in this call:
Debye/Super-XAS, ADDAMS, PolLux, ISS, cSAXS, SIM, I-TOMCAT/S-TOMCAT, PXI, PXIII
- After the submission deadline the proposals are evaluated in terms of safety and technical feasibility. Then they are ranked in terms of scientific criteria by the international SLS Proposal Review Committee (PRC). The result of this rating is the basis for the beamtime assessment made by the SLS.
- The main proposers are informed by email about the result of the ranking and beamtime assessment.
- The annual calendar for the proposal evaluation is as seen below.
