ReMade@ARI is happy to announce its first call for proposals for 2023! 

As a hub dedicated to developing new materials for a circular economy, ReMade@ARI provides scientists exploring the properties and structures of recyclable materials with coordinated access to more than 50 European analytical research infrastructures.

Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, PSI cannot accept proposals for beam time and visits from scientists affiliated to organisations based in Russia or Belarus until further notice.

It is now possible to upload your PSI badge cashless directly with your credit card. The respective machine is located in the entrance area of the PSI restaurant OASE.

Restrictions to enter Switzerland have been disposed

As of 17 February 2022 Switzerland has disposed all COVID-related restrictions to enter the country. For the time being certificates for vaccination or negative tests are no longer required.

ESUO questionnaire on impacts of absence of TNA funding

ESUO, the European Synchrotron and FEL Users Organisation, has launched a questionnaire on the Possible impacts of the absence of TransNational Access (TNA) funding for the user community. ESUO, in cooperation with LEAPS, kindly asks you as users of photon facilities to fill in that questionnaire.

The outcome of the questionnaire will empower ESUO to continue advocating both to the European Commission and to the National Funding Agencies for TNA funding for all science topics and for all scientists.

Support for UK students visiting PSI user facilities

The UK neutron and muon facility ISIS is currently offering travel and subsistence support for students from UK universities visiting other facilities for neutron or muon studies. The PSI facilities SINQ and SmuS are part of that arrangement.

PSI has updated the information and guidelines for our users that apply during the COVID-19 pandemic period according to the obligation for our users to present a certificate of a negative PCR or rapid antigen test or the certificate of a full vaccination/recovery.
