Single Ge Monochromator:
Orion takes-off the beam with a Ge monochromator, now allowing to use the three following wavelengths:
λ1=3.3 Å (mom1:2.033°, relative intensity: 1)
λ2=1.73 Å (mom1:31.54°, relative intensity: ~1/2)
λ3=1.32 Å (mom1:21.52°, relative intensity: ~1/3)
Detector-system:
- Single He3-tube
- Fission-based beam-monitor
- Variable collimation after sample
Sample table:
- closed Eulerian cradle (room temperature only) with holder for gluing crystals at oriented positions
User Angles:
- stt, om, chi and phi
- sttmax: 107°
- ommax : 54°
