nEDM Search

Within the international nEDM collaboration the UCN-Physics group pursues a measurement of the electric dipole moment of the neutron which is considered one of the most important experiments in low energy, precision particle physics today. A new world-best limit was published in 2020 (Figure 1, Abel et al. 2020). The new n2EDM apparatus designed for an order of magnitude higher sensitivity in the baseline setup is under construction.
