Accelerator Modelling and Advanced Simulations Group

The Accelerator Modelling and Advanced Simulations (AMAS) group aims at bridging the gap between qualitative and quantitative modelling by combining and extending the latest developments in

  • Accelerator-Physics
  • Numerical Modelling
  • High Performance Computer Science

AMAS performs research in the area of accelerator system simulation, designs and adapts simulation tools for PSI needs, and participates in educational efforts. The developed methods are applied to PSI's existing and future accelerator systems which in turn provide benchmarks for the developed methods.
