Biography

Sici Wang is currently a doctoral researcher within the group of Structure and Mechanics of Advanced Materials. She received her B. Eng. in Optoelectronics Science and Technology from Tianjin University, China. Subsequently, she pursued a M. Sc. in Photonics at Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena. Then she worked as a research assistant for 3 years.

During her master study and previous work, she focused on coherent diffraction imaging in extreme ultraviolet (XUV) range. She was involved in operating the table-top high harmonic generation XUV source, doing high-resolution measurements and was responsible for developing algorithms for the image reconstructions.

Scientific Research

In September 2023, Sici joined PSI to contribute to the RELIANCE project. This international project aims to develop and implement depth-resolved X-ray imaging and scattering tools that will enable the automated real-time characterization of different materials and their manufacturing processes. Sici's research involves the development of alignment algorithm and smart sampling for SAXSTT.
