New group member Dr. Paul Leidinger
We would like to welcome Paul Leidinger who started on Friday, April 1.
Paul is a PostDoc working for both, the Laboratory for Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry and the Electrochemistry Laboratory for the next 24 months. Paul is going to work on the catalytic and electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide on silver surfaces.
Welcome to Chiara Pischetola
We welcome Chiara Pischetola to the group. She is the new scientist in the Heterogeneous Catalysis group. Chiara will be responsible for a research program on the valorisation of carbon dioxide.
New Laboratory Technician Christian Hanisch
A new colleague, Christian Hanisch, started on February 1, 2022, as a technician in the Laboratory for Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry and we warmly welcome him.
Welcome Fabio Peixoto Esteves
A new colleague, Mr. Fabio Peixoto, started on January 1, 2022 as a PhD student in the van Bokhoven group under Marco Ranocchiari's supervision.
Welcome Man Guo
A new colleague, Ms. Man Guo, started on September 1, 2021 as a PhD student in the van Bokhoven group under Luca Artiglia's supervision and we would like to welcome her.
Welcome to Alessia Cesarini
Welcome to Alessia Cesarini, new PhD student in the van Bokhoven group. She is located at EMPA and works together with Andreas Borgschulte.
Congratulations to Julian Wennmacher!
On February 10th, 2021, Julian Wennmacher defended his PhD entitled "Developing electron crystallography to elucidate the location of functional sites in zeolites" at ETH Zurich. Congratulations!
Welcome Florent Dubray
On Feb 1st, a new postdoc, Florent Dubray will start in our group. He finished his PhD on the synthesis, characterization and catalytic applications of metal containing zeolites at the ENSI in Caen.
He will work on the (new) SYNFUEL project (a PSI initiative to make sustainable jet fuel) converting methanol into jet fuel over modified zeolite catalysts.
Welcome Anthony Boucly
Anthony started working at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in January 2018 as a PostDoc within an internal project shared between the Electrochemistry Laboratory and the Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry at PSI. He worked on 2D LSCO electrodes for the in situ investigation of oxygen evolution reaction and on the interaction of ferryhydrite samples with acidic trace gases. His main expertise is ambient pressure photoelectron spectroscopy and he will work on the in situ investigation of methane oxidation on PtPd size- and composition-selected nanoparticles supported on different oxides.
