Biography
Dan Haynes completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adrian Cavalieri at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and subsequently joined the Laboratory for Nonlinear Optics as a postdoctoral researcher. His PhD thesis, entitled "Extending attosecond techniques to X-ray free-electron lasers", focuses on bringing established attosecond-precision methods from small-scale laboratories to state-of-the-art X-ray free-electron lasers such as SwissFEL.
Scientific Research
Dan is involved with the commissioning of the Diavolezza beamline at SwissFEL, which will ultimately perform attosecond time-resolved experiments using techniques similar to those described in his thesis.
