Current Responsibilities
Christian Moretti has been a scientist in the Technology Assessment group at the Laboratory for Energy Systems Analysis since February 2024. His expertise is in prospective Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and techno-economics for policy modeling and decision support. Christian is also a lecturer at ETH in the course "Quantitative Policy Analysis and Modeling," covering topics such as investment appraisal, cost-benefit analysis, life cycle analysis, multi-criteria analysis, and partial and general equilibrium modeling.
Education and previous activities
Christian holds a master's degree in energy engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a PhD from Utrecht University. Prior to and after his PhD, Christian worked at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. He was a postdoc at ETH before joining PSI.
