Biography

Alexandre Arsenault started his postdoctoral fellowship in the Insertion Devices group at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI) in September 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Marco Calvi. He received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at the Polytechnique Montreal, Canada, in February 2023. His thesis work involved the simulation and characterization of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) bulks in order to increase the forces and efficiency of magnetic drug delivery (MDD) treatments. He is currently working on the research and development of the HTS undulator that will be used in the I-TOMCAT beamline planned for the SLS2.0 upgrade.
