Beamlines

The enhanced brightness of SLS 2.0 will benefit almost all the x-ray techniques presently practiced at the SLS. An exciting aspect is that the improvements extend beyond the increase in brightness alone, due to other innovations of the photon sources (in particular, the undulators) plus novel improvements downstream from the photon source.

Beamline update

It is planned to finish the first phase of the beamline upgrades at SLS 2.0. It will begin in parallel to the machine upgrade. It is also planned to finish beamline commissioning and begin pilot experiments within three months of the completion of the machine commissioning.

Beamline range of energy

The range of photon energies of the different beamlines in the first phase of the beamlines at SLS 2.0. Red means "nice to have" Yellow means obligatory. Beamlines with blue borders are bending-magnet beamlines. Those with green borders are superbends.
