PHOENIX Publications
The publications listed below are based on data taken at the PHOENIX beamline or are results of the research of the team working at the PHOENIX beamline.
Battery Electrodes and Cells
The primary goal is the development of a safe, environmentally benign, and cost effective electrochemical energy storage system with significantly improved specific energy. The research work focuses equally on the scientific background essential for the development of new technologies and on the analysis of ageing and safety relevant aspects of current industrial batteries. The investigated systems include both lithium-ion and post-lithium-ion batteries.

Condensed Matter Theory Group
The activities of the Condensed Matter Theory (CMT) group focus on both applied and fundamental topics in condensed matter physics, material science, and the biological sciences. Aside from pursuing its own research, CMT provides theoretical support to experiments done at PSI. Particular interests include frustrated magnetism, disordered and/or strongly correlated systems, quantum dynamics and transport, plasticity, and the principles governing bio-molecules.
