At the MX Applications Group, Laboratory for Macromolecules and Bioimaging, Center for Photon Science we are looking for a

Postdoctoral Fellow in serial crystallography data analytics

Your tasks

  • The development of serial crystallography data analysis pipelines at SwissFEL and the SLS 2.0 
  • Assist in the development of the Xtrapol8 software suite in collaboration with Dr. Elke De Zitter, Dr. Nicolas Coquelle and Dr. Jacques-Philippe Colletier in the DYNAMOP Group at the Institut de Biologie Structurale (IBS), Grenoble 
  • Perform pump-probe experiments at XFELs and synchrotrons with the aim of defining best practices in data collection methods 
  • Assist the development and maintenance of Cristallina devices and software related to SFX measurements
  • Assist Cristallina users to conduct their experiments

Your profile

  • PhD degree in natural sciences 
  • Proficiency in python and/or other coding language 
  • Proficiency in handling and analyzing large datasets 
  • Excellent communication skills in English 
  • Experience in serial macromolecular crystallography at synchrotrons and XFELs is an asset 
  • Experience in protein handling and crystallization is an asset 
  • Communication skills in French and German are an asset
