Biography

Yuan Wei joined in Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) as a PSI Fellow Postdoc from June 2021. He got his Ph.D. in physical science in 2020 from Institute of Physics (IOP), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) on "Neutron Scattering Study on Frustrated Magnets". During the time as a Ph.D. candidate, Yuan Wei's research works mainly focused on the neutron diffraction, inelastic neutron scattering and muon spin relaxation, resonance and research on strongly correlated electrons systems, like superconductors, quantum magnets and quantum spin liquids.

Institutional Responsibilities

Resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) on novel quantum materials. Support the external user research on RIXS spectrometer at ADRESS beamline.
